Euresearch is the Swiss network mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation providing targeted information, hands-on advice and transnational partnering related to European research and innovation programmes. The network is composed of a Head Office in Bern and Regional Offices in each University and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

The ECCE stems from RUHR.2010 – the first European Capital of Culture that has come to accept the cultural and creative economy as an essential pillar of its programme and part of cultural diversity. ecce supports the creative economy and the development of creative locations and spaces in the region. A central part of the work of ecce is to organise debates on culture and the creative industries in the Ruhr region that are relevant across Europe.

Together, they account for approximately 70% of the workforce in cultural creative industries in Europe.
