Evaluating the socio-economic impacts of selected regenerated heritage sites in Europe (Sophia Labadi. European Cultural Foundation. Cultural Policy Research Award 2007)
The research makes a contribution to the critical analysis of socio-economic impact evaluation methods in the selected sites using four case studies from the UK, France and Poland. It draws attention to methods of evaluation and their results, in juxtaposition with the goals and expectations of the community. The publication is especially relevant for those working on the social cohesion and integration of communities.

This report by the Open Method of Coordination (OMC) Working Group on Cultural and Creative Sectors’ Export and Internationalisation Support Strategies builds on and complements the already rather extensive literature on the potential of cultural and creative sectors in the European Union. It is the first of its kind with a particular focus on cultural and creative sectors’ (CCS) exports and internationalisation. The report also represents the newest link in the chain of papers produced by the different OMC Working Groups in line with the current and previous Council Work Plans for Culture. With policy statements and a substantial number of good practices from different Member States, this body of work illustrates the impressive array of measures and activities that are carried out in Europe to pursue key cultural policy objectives.
