THE CULTURE AND CREATIVITY ASSOCIATION AND THE BRITISH COUNCIL SIGNED A MEMORANDUM
The Culture and Creativity Association is the largest network of experts in Eastern Europe providing professional expertise to projects of the cultural and creative industries.
The Culture and Creativity website, as well as the Association, are products of the large EU-Eastern Partnership Programme (2015-2017), aimed at supporting the contribution of culture to the socio-economic development of the six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. After the end of the Programme, the website became a communication resource of the established Association, and the British Council continued to fund the work of the editorial team. This transition period lasted two more years. Since April 2020, the Association has been engaged in the further development of the media platform, having undertaken, among other things, financial obligations.
In order to preserve and consolidate the editorial policy of the website, formulated at the time of its foundation and aimed at fulfilling the mission of the Programme, a special document was created - the Memorandum. This document defines the provisions of the website's activities. That is, regardless of who will manage it in the future, its mission will be preserved. Thus, the mission of the Culture and Creativity media platform will remain the same - professional development of cultural managers in Ukraine and other Eastern Partnership countries, as well as advancing their international relations with colleagues from the EU and the UK.
The document includes a list of provisions and fixes three key points:
1. Compliance with editorial policy and the mission fulfilment.
2. Maintaining a focus on culture managers as the target audience of the website.
3. Complete rejection of advertising activity (that is, we do not commercialize content and act as unbiased as possible, which means that readers will never see any paid content or native advertising on the website pages).
