Poroshenko signed two cinema-related laws. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law "On the state support of cinematograph in Ukraine" and the Law “On the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation". The first piece of legislation introduces a tax rebate: it is proposed to support both Ukrainian and foreign filmmakers by returning 16.6% of the funds invested by producers and 10% of the cost of acting fees in Kyiv/Sevastopol and 4.5% in other settlements.
