5 Opportunities for theater-makers in 2016-2017

List of grants for directors and actors, who interested in collaborations and interdisciplinary formats

ArtsLink provides grants for self-directed projects in the US and participation in residencies at US organizations. Artists, arts managers, and non-profit organizations from countries of Eastern Partnership and others can apply. The maximum grant for an independent project is $5,000. The artists and managers who work with literature, performing and visual arts are welcome. Deadline: October 15, 2016. 

The Franklin Furnace Fund grants artists to enable them to produce performance art works in New York. Grants range between $2,000 and $10,000. Artists from all areas of the world are encouraged to apply. DThe application for the 2017-18 grant cycle will open in mid-January 2017. 

The Sundance Institute Theatre Programme supports theatre-makers by providing the space working free from commercial pressures. The Sundance Institute offers different Labs and Retreats for participant every year. Deadlines vary for each programme. 

Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) Programme for Europe provides financial assistance to European organisers such as festivals, theaters, or arts promotion companies who are planning Japan related performing arts projects. Deadline: End of October 2016.
