Knowledge Base: 500 Useful Websites and Opportunities from the Culture and Creativity Programme
All links and publications are divided into five groups:
1. EU Cultural Policy: This section offers more than 140 publications and studies on the cultural strategy of the European Union in addition to conventions and official documents of UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Moreover, you will be able to get to know the national cultural strategies of Bulgaria, Estonia, the UK, Scotland, among others.
2. Websites for Finding Partners: Over 80 links to international organisations and alliances in virtually all areas of the cultural and creative industries: theatre, music, cinema, literature, design, etc. This section will help public and private organisations find international partners.
3. Opportunities: This section contains around 120 websites that will help you to find funding and draft a successful application. Here you will learn more about the EU’s grant programmes, including those focusing on EaP countries. To be able to draft an application, it is necessary to know about the different types of support offered by the EU. That is why the section includes publications that explain the principles of the funding of culture in the European Union.
4. Tools and Handbooks: This section will be useful for those looking for new methods of work in the cultural sector. You will be able to learn about online tools, handbooks, manuals and electronic libraries. There are more than 70 websites on cultural policy, strategic planning, funding models, innovations, leadership and marketing.
5. Online Education: Here, you will find courses on culture and the creative industries. The round-up suggests around 80 websites, which include MOOCs from Coursera, edX, FutureLearn and Goethe-Institut, as well as expert-led programmes, such as the one offered by Lidia Varbanova. Professionals in cultural policy and strategies, as well as students and entrepreneurs who work in the creative industries, will find courses to help them.
