APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE OXFORD CULTURAL LEADERS RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME

If you aspire to be innovative and entrepreneurial and have a strong desire to have an impact on the cultural sector, hurry up and apply!

The Oxford University Museum announced the opening of applications for its one-week educational programme for cultural sector leaders “Oxford Cultural Leaders” to be held in April 2016.

The programme has been developed in partnership with the Saïd Business School and University of Oxford and is a series of intensive courses on management, marketing and fundraising, and focus on elaborating projects on implementing innovative leadership methods in the cultural sector as well as successful adaptive cultural organisations and creative platforms in such conditions as the widespread use of digital technologies and “competition for the consumer”. The programme develops leaders who are able to return to their organisations with the confidence and skill set to experiment and take risks with new business models and ways of working whilst supporting and creating a climate for new ideas.

Recruitment is via a competitive process, with a panel of faculty members carefully considering applications based on what they can contribute to the programme, as sharing knowledge and expertise, and providing peer consultancy and support are core to the programmes' success.

Participants will be staying at Trinity College in the heart of Oxford. A beautiful, peaceful and historic setting which is only a stone’s throw from the wonderful museums, cultural venues and university buildings that we use to deliver the teaching, workshop and social elements of the programme.

Participants will be asked to contribute £2,500 the cost of all tuition, accommodation and meals. There may be a limited number of partial bursaries available.

The deadline for applications is 30 November 2015.
