Case Studies of Innovative Creative Spaces and Their Contribution to Local Communities

Here you will find examples of cultural initiatives from Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Croatia. The founders, curators and PR managers share their visions of contribution of creative spaces into their communities.

For instance, the Depo2015 creative space in the Czech Republic is not only a venue for festivals and non-formal education, but here artists and designers create and exhibit their works in one spot.

Luka Piskoric, co-founder of the Poligon creative centre, suggests that crowdfunding is an important tool for cultural initiatives in Slovenia. Also, he describes the aim of the creative centre as that of mapping the needs of a community and offering people opportunities to learn things, to network and start new projects.

Speakers on the video believe that such projects contribute to economic growth and revive empty places in cities.
