Ministry reports about boost of investments in country’s cultural sphere. In the programmes of the Armenia’s culture ministry in 2017, during first nine months of the year, unprecedented investments of USD 990 thousand have been made or are expected very soon, ministry’s official website reports. The 9th ReAnimania International Festival is being held in Yerevan. More than 2200 applications from 100 countries have been submitted for the 9th ReAnimania International Animation & Comics Art Festival of Yerevan.  This year’s program features 5 nominations, including full-length films, short films, graduation, television, educational films and animated music videos. Belarus plans to return its abroad-based cultural heritage items. The respective action plan has been developed for 2017-2018 period, Belta reports. Online source explores trends of funding cultural projects in Kyiv. In her article for Lb.ua online source, Anastasia Platonova digs into the specifics of financing of cultural activities in Kyiv outlining priority areas that receive the biggest amounts of funds. As EuroVision song contest took the lead in terms of financial injections, there are several projects that also got substantial financial assistance, such as Mystetskiy Arsenal, Ukrainian Book Institute, Kyiv Art Week, Face of Art festival, Gogolfest, Molodist, among others. As Kyiv City Council official in charge of cultural issues says, city’s annual budget on cultural activities varies from UAH 3 million to UAH 6 million; 2014, according to the official, was “unprecedented” in terms of levels of funding of cultural projects.
